New Community Store and Post Office Opens
25 June 2009:
Following the closure of Barham's local post office in 2008 a group of local people led by Liz Minter formed the Nailbourne Community Store Association. The Association a not for profit company is dedicated to establish a new community store and post office to serve Barham village and its neighbouring communities.
In a short period of time funds have been raised, with considerable support from local people and premises secured which has enabled the new Post Office and Store to be opened.
Better Places is pleased to have been able to support this project and is committed to support the Association as it works towards developing permanent facilities.
